This cemetery used to be next to the Old Salem Methodist Church. The church building was moved, the cemetery remains. It is on private property, in a wooded area near the railroad tracks. It is badly in need of some loving care. We will be working to record and restore what we can.
The burial ground from just inside the remnants of the wall.

Several stones, unmarked and plain, are clearly placed outside the old cemetery fence. I would assume that these are markers of enslaved people.
This burying ground is in Clinton, Laurens County, South Carolina.
