I stumbled across this tidbit of information researching pension applications from the Little River Regiment. Also updated this info to the full Hammond’s Old Store page.

[p 18] [verbatim transcription as written, spelled and punctuated] Dr Sr, After compliments to you and family I hereby Inform you that, I have appointed the officers of my Regt. To Meet at Hamonds old store on the first Saturday in October Next, at which time and place I hope to see you with your Leiutanants, as there will be some Business of Consequence to settel, fail not I am In hast your Real frind and Hubl Servt, Sept the 26th 1789 [?]

Note: The date is almost certainly 1780, not 1789.
The first Saturday in October of 1780 was October 7 – The Battle of King’s Mountain.
December 30th, 1780 was the Battle of Hammond’s Store.
