Visiting Hayes Station

I had the solemn honor to visit one of the most sacred sites in Laurens County, SC, the site of the Hayes Station Massacre.

On November 19, 1781, 300 loyalists led by “Bloody” Bill Cunningham executed Patriots of the Little River Regiment. They are laid to rest here.

Visit my Hayes Station page for the terrible details. This is a sad and tragic story that needs to continue to be told, so that we can learn from history.

It is impossible to gauge the magnitude of the loss of these men. R.I.P.
